Introducing our newest recruit, Jason. He joins our growing team of developers, where he'll add his considerable expertise as we take the Waddle platform to the next level. Jason has recently moved to Australia from the Philippines and is looking forward to exploring his new home as the weather warms up over the coming months. Great to have you on board, Jason!

A big welcome to the team! How has life in the Waddle house been so far?

GREAT! Never worked in an office like this, and I’m lovin' it! Everyone is friendly and approachable and I like how we don't have the traditional meetings, you can just reach out to anyone and you'll have a very productive conversation. Plus, the free flowing music lightens up the mood and gets me going!

Who is Jason Casal? Do you have any hobbies? Secret talents?

Born and raised in the Philippines and we recently moved here in Australia.

I play some video games in my spare time and sometimes join small poker tournaments, which I really enjoy playing. Currently planning to see more of Australia during the weekends.

Tell us a bit about what brings you to Waddle. What were you doing before you got here?

I previously worked at Eclaro-Benefitfocus, a US-based company that has a benefits enrolment platform. I was part of a great team doing features and enhancement to the product, and we were in the middle of migrating the platform into microservices when I left.

I've been thinking about joining a start-up company even before we moved here in Australia, and maybe the stars were aligned as the opportunity came to join Waddle right after we arrived here. Ha!

What is your first impression of Waddle? The platform? The team?

Cosy from the first day I stepped inside the house! A unique product surrounded by nice and intelligent people.

What are you hoping to achieve here with us?

I'm hoping to grow together with the company and help Waddle be a great product. I'm very excited to contribute to the team and I'm ready for this awesome ride!
